I first hiked in the Trap Hills 20 years ago after reading this article in Backpacker Magazine – and it has remained one of my favorite hiking spots ever since.

Fast forward to a few years ago and a random conversation with some ski patrol friends who indicated that there were some segments in the Peter Wolfe chapter of the North Country Trail in the Trap Hills available for adoption – when I learned the segments in question, I signed up right away & have been taking care of Segments 3 & 4 since then!
